By booking a video consultation through our website, you agree to the Terms and Conditions set out below. Video consultations are provided by qualified pharmacists from Filey Bay Pharmacy, Bridlington Pharmacy, and West View Pharmacy.
Our video consultation service offers access to a range of NHS and private pharmacy services, including travel health advice, vaccinations, weight management consultations, and other pharmacy-related healthcare services.
Please note that eligibility for NHS and private services will be assessed during the consultation. Booking a consultation does not guarantee that treatment, medication, or a specific service will be provided. Any recommendations, treatments, or prescriptions are subject to a clinical assessment and the professional judgement of the consulting pharmacist.
Booking & Payment
Private service consultations require payment at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
NHS service consultations do not require payment at the time of booking and are subject to eligibility being confirmed during the consultation.
Eligibility for both NHS and private services will be assessed by a qualified pharmacist during your video consultation.
The consultation fee for private services covers the video consultation only and does not include the cost of any treatments, medications, vaccinations, prescriptions, or other services.
Booking an appointment and making payment does not guarantee that a treatment, prescription, medication, or service will be provided following the consultation.
Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive an email containing your appointment details, including the date, time, and secure video consultation link.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection and access to a suitable device capable of supporting the video consultation.
- Attend your consultation from a quiet, private location where you can speak openly with the pharmacist.
- Join the consultation at your scheduled appointment time using the secure video consultation link provided in your confirmation email.
- Provide accurate and complete information regarding your medical history, current medications, symptoms, and any other relevant health details.
- For travel-related services, provide accurate information about your travel destinations, dates, and planned activities to enable appropriate clinical advice.
- You must be physically located within the United Kingdom at the time of your video consultation.
Scope of Service
- The consultation includes personalised advice based on your individual needs.
- If vaccinations or medication are recommended, we will guide you through the next steps, including administration at one of our pharmacy branches.
- This service is not a substitute for urgent medical care or GP services. If we believe your case requires further medical assessment, we will advise you to seek the appropriate care.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations by You
- You may cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time to be eligible for a full refund of any consultation fees paid for private services.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time will not be eligible for a refund of private service consultation fees.
- NHS service consultations do not incur a consultation fee; therefore, no refund will be applicable for cancelled NHS appointments.
- If you are unable to attend an NHS service consultation, we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.
- Requests to cancel an appointment must be submitted by email to LocalPharmacyDirect@gmail.com.
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the original payment method and may take several working days to appear in your account.
How to Cancel
- Locate the confirmation email you received after booking (this includes your appointment details and video link).
- Simply hit "Reply" to that email — the reply will be addressed to LocalPharmacyDirect@gmail.com
- Add a brief note requesting cancellation and send.
- The time your email is received will determine if it was sent more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, which is required for a refund.
Missed Appointments
- If you fail to attend your scheduled consultation without providing advance notice, the appointment will be treated as a missed appointment. For private services, any consultation fees paid will be non-refundable.
Cancellations by Us
- If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, including pharmacist unavailability or technical issues, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer either an alternative appointment time or, where applicable for private services, a full refund of any consultation fees paid.
Rescheduling Your Appointment
How to Reschedule
- Simply hit “Reply” to your confirmation email — your message will go directly to LocalPharmacyDirect@gmail.com
- In your message, include your name, original appointment date and time, and your request to reschedule.
- We will do our best to accommodate your request and offer an alternative time slot based on our availability.
Rescheduling Conditions
- Rescheduling requests must be received at least 24 hours in advance of your original appointment time
- The time your email is received will be used to determine whether it qualifies for rescheduling or a refund.
- Requests sent less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may not be eligible for rescheduling.
